Charles M. Schulz Museum - Located in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country, the Charles M. Schulz Museum is the home of Snoopy and the whole Charlie Brown gang. There are many activities to enjoy during your visit, including viewing permanent exhibits and artwork by Japanese artist Yoshiteru Otani, and wandering through the Snoopy Labyrinth. The Charles M. Schulz Museum also features an education room, a theatre offering daily screenings of the Peanuts Television Show, and special public programs. Sonoma State Historic Park - Sonoma State Historic Park is in the center of the charming old town of Sonoma, surrounded by shops, and nearby wineries. In the center of a large, tree-covered park is the old city hall. The historic buildings of the state park border the city park with its picnic tables and benches that invite visitors to rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Sonoma State Historic Park is also the site of the northernmost Franciscan Mission in California and birthplace of the California State Bear Flag. Visitors can see six sites including the Mission San Francisco Solano de Sonoma, the Blue Wing Inn, the Sonoma Barracks, and the Toscano Hotel. The park has restaurants, shops, and a museum. |
